LONDON (Reuters) – UK Treasury Secretary Rishi Sunak told Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s Cabinet team on Wednesday that the forthcoming Bureau of Budgetary Responsibility forecasts “would be sobering read”.

“Cabinet has been told that the OBR projections will reveal the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on our economy and will provide sobering reading of the extent of the economic downturn, as well as the extent of borrowing and indebtedness,” said Johnson’s Downing Street office in a statement.
