It’s a date: on April 12th, non-essential shops, pubs and restaurants will reopen in England

Shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as other small businesses, reopened on April 12th.

However, the rules for social contact still apply: indoor spaces may only be visited alone or with household groups; External settings are limited to six people or two households.

Most of the outdoor environments and attractions have also reopened, including outdoor hospitality, zoos, theme parks, drive-in theaters, and drive-in performance events.

Hospitality venues can be opened for outdoor service without the need to serve a large meal in addition to alcohol, and the 10:00 p.m. curfew has been lifted. The requirement to eat and drink while sitting remains.
